Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Full label with doses
  • L-theanine at the trial dose

Cons

  • No trial of fat burning during sleep
  • Green tea: no weight effect outside Japan

Who Is This For?

Recommended For:

We would not recommend it for weight loss. The one ingredient with a solid sleep trial, L-theanine, is at the trial dose, but the formula's weight-loss case rests on green tea (no effect outside Japan) and small trials of grains of paradise. The seller is a Dubai company with 10-day terms.

Not Recommended For:

Anyone with liver disease or taking medicines that affect the liver (green tea extract); people taking other green tea products the same day (the label's own warning); people on diabetes medication (gymnema); people already taking 10 mg or more of vitamin B6; and children, pregnant and breastfeeding women (the label's own exclusion).

Summary

What is in it, per 2 capsules: N-acetyl-L-tyrosine 250 mg, L-theanine 200 mg, gymnema 200 mg, green tea extract 150 mg (60 mg EGCG), lemon balm 100 mg, grains of paradise 80 mg, saffron 30 mg, BioPerine 2 mg, vitamin B6 10 mg and magnesium 56.25 mg.

What the evidence says:

  • A Cochrane review of green tea for weight loss found no weight difference outside Japan (-0.04 kg).
  • L-theanine is at the dose used in a trial that measured sleep and stress scores; grains of paradise and saffron are in small trials at similar doses.
  • We found no trial of "burning fat in your sleep", for this product or its formula.

There is no money-back guarantee; the terms allow 10 days from purchase, under UAE law.

Ingredient Breakdown

The label (a text panel on the Swiss and US sales pages) lists, per 2 capsules: N-acetyl-L-tyrosine 250 mg, L-theanine from green tea extract 200 mg, gymnema leaf extract [25% gymnemic acids] 200 mg, green tea leaf extract [40% EGCG] 150 mg, lemon balm extract 100 mg, grains of paradise seed extract [12.5% 6-paradol] 80 mg, saffron extract 30 mg, BioPerine 2 mg, vitamin B6 10 mg and magnesium 56.25 mg.

What the research shows:

  1. Green tea extract. A Cochrane review of 14 weight-loss studies found a mean difference of -0.04 kg in the studies outside Japan (532 people). The Japanese studies ranged from -0.2 to -3.5 kg and could not be pooled.
  2. L-theanine. In a trial of 30 adults, 200 mg a day for 4 weeks improved sleep-quality and anxiety scores.
  3. Grains of paradise. Three small trials (9 to 19 people) used 30 to 40 mg of extract a day. One found less visceral fat in women; none is long-term.
  4. Saffron. One trial of 66 adults used 15.5 mg a day for 6 weeks and improved sleep scores; the funder helped design it.
  5. Gymnema. In a trial in obese patients, berberine lowered body weight while gymnema lowered fasting glucose.
  6. N-acetyl-L-tyrosine and lemon balm. We read no trial for these at these doses.

What is not in it: no melatonin, L-carnitine, chromium picolinate or coconut MCT, which an earlier version of this review listed. NuviaLab's own store sells a version with ashwagandha (KSM-66) 200 mg in place of gymnema; see our ashwagandha page.

What Night Mega Burner actually contains

Publishes its doses
IngredientOn the labelIn the trials

Amounts are taken from the manufacturer’s own supplement facts panel. Where a label states a standardisation, the active fraction is what we compare, because the active is what the trials measured.

Dosage Analysis

Our Dose Check compares each label amount with the best human study.

  • Green tea: 150 mg extract = 60 mg EGCG. The EFSA caution level is 800 mg EGCG a day, so the label is 7.5% of it. Weight effect outside Japan: none.
  • L-theanine: 200 mg vs 200 mg a day for 4 weeks. 100%.
  • Grains of paradise: 80 mg vs 30 to 40 mg a day in trials. About 2 to 2.7 times the trial amount; the trial extracts' 6-paradol content is not stated.
  • Saffron: 30 mg vs 15.5 mg a day. About twice the trial amount, and the brand tested is not named.
  • Gymnema: 200 mg (50 mg gymnemic acids). Trial dose not in the abstract; body weight fell with berberine, not gymnema.
  • Vitamin B6: 10 mg, exactly the NHS 10 mg a day limit.

The directions say 2 capsules 30 minutes before bed with 300 ml of water, not on an empty stomach. A 60-capsule bottle lasts a month.

Quality & Testing

Our Transparency Score checks five things a buyer can verify. Night Mega Burner scores 2 out of 5.

  • Label with doses: yes. Every ingredient has an amount in the text panel.
  • Identifiable company: no. The Swiss terms name "Key Player Limited" at Dubai Airport Freezone and apply UAE law; the US terms name "NightMegaBurner.com" in Hong Kong. The brand is a registered trademark of NuviaLab Limited. No manufacturer is named.
  • Refund terms in writing: yes. 10 calendar days from purchase, unused goods only.
  • Independent testing shown: no. The page says "bewährte und geprüfte Inhaltsstoffe" (proven and tested ingredients) but shows no test.
  • Study on the finished product: no.

NuviaLab, which also sells it, has 1.9 out of 5 from 148 reviews on Trustpilot. The page says the product causes "keinerlei Nebenwirkungen" (no side effects) while the label warns about green tea and pregnancy.

Correction. An earlier version of this review listed L-carnitine, chromium picolinate, coconut MCT and melatonin (none is in it), built its safety section on melatonin, said it was made in a GMP-compliant EU facility, and gave a $1.63 a day cost. The label states only "country of origin: European Union" and no GMP claim, and the daily cost is $1.87 for one bottle. We have corrected it.

Value for Money

Prices when we checked in September 2026:

  • Swiss site (where our link leads, in German): CHF 49.99 for 1 bottle, CHF 99.98 for 2+1 (CHF 33.33 each), CHF 149.97 for 3+3 (CHF 24.99 each).
  • US site: $55.99, $111.98 ($37.33 each) and $167.97 ($27.99 each).
  • NuviaLab's own store: $64.99 for one bottle, $32.50 each in a 6-pack.

That is about $1.87 a day for one US bottle and $0.93 a day for six (our calculation). We could not verify shipping costs.

Refunds. The sales page offers no money-back guarantee. The terms say "Da die Key Player Limited Produkte ausschließlich per E-Mail verkauft, kann ein Kunde jederzeit innerhalb von 10 Kalendertagen gerechnet ab dem Kaufdatum des Produktes die Transaktion rückgängig machen" (the customer may cancel within 10 calendar days of purchase), after a written statement, with goods showing no signs of use. They add "Die Anwendung des EU-Rechts ist ausgeschlossen" (EU law does not apply).

Side Effects & Safety

  • Liver: the USP review links green tea extract to liver injury reports at EGCG intakes from 140 mg a day and advises taking it with food. The label has 60 mg EGCG and says not to use it on an empty stomach.
  • Vitamin B6: 10 mg a day. The NHS says "Do not take more than 10mg of vitamin B6 a day in supplements unless advised to by a doctor". Any other B6 source puts you over it.
  • Drowsiness: the formula is meant to help sleep; we read no data on next-day effects.
  • Ashwagandha (NuviaLab version only): case reports link it to liver injury.

The sales page says there are "no side effects". There is no clinical study on Night Mega Burner itself.

Final Verdict

Our Verdict

4.0/5

Night Mega Burner publishes its doses, and its L-theanine matches a sleep trial. But it has no melatonin or L-carnitine, as the old review said, its green tea shows no weight effect outside Japan, and we found no trial of burning fat during sleep. The seller is a Dubai company, the terms allow 10 days under UAE law, and our link lands on a German page priced in francs. We do not recommend it for weight loss.
