Pros & Cons

Pros

  • 2.5 g Verisol, the dose used in the wrinkle trial
  • Full label available (via the NuviaLab store)
  • One scoop a day in water

Cons

  • Page's 65%/18% figures come from the ingredient study, not this product
  • Biotin 1,000% can interfere with lab tests

Who Is This For?

Recommended For:

Adults who want to try collagen peptides for skin at the studied 2.5 g dose, prefer a flavoured drink, and accept a return window of only 10 days for unopened tubs.

Not Recommended For:

Anyone with a blood test coming up without telling the doctor about the biotin, people with fish or bovine allergies until the seller confirms the collagen source, pregnant or breastfeeding women and children (the label's own exclusion), and anyone already taking another biotin or hair-skin-nails product.

Summary

The good news: each scoop contains 2.5 g of Verisol, a branded collagen peptide, which is exactly the dose used in the best-known trial. In that trial, 114 women aged 45 to 65 saw eye-wrinkle volume fall by about 20% compared with placebo after 8 weeks.

What the marketing overstates:

  • The "65% more collagen" and "18% more elastin" figures come from that ingredient study, measured in a small biopsy subgroup, not from tests of Collagen Select.
  • The page promises elasticity "overnight".
  • The biotin dose is 1,000% of the reference intake, which can interfere with some blood tests.

Before you order: the page advertises a money-back guarantee, but the terms allow only a 10-day withdrawal from purchase, for unopened goods. An opened tub cannot be returned.

Ingredient Breakdown

What one 5 g scoop contains, according to the label published by the retailer NuviaLab:

  1. Collagen peptides (Verisol), 2,500 mg. The main ingredient, with real human evidence. In a double-blind trial of 114 women, 2.5 g a day for 8 weeks reduced eye-wrinkle volume by about 20% versus placebo, with some effect lasting 4 weeks after stopping. Several authors were linked to GELITA, the maker of Verisol. A meta-analysis of 19 trials found improvements in skin hydration, elasticity and wrinkles with hydrolysed collagen, typically over 90 days.
  2. Moldavian dragonhead extract (DracoBelle Nu), 200 mg. The sales page cites cell-level data. We found no human skin trial.
  3. Biotin, 500 mcg (1,000% of the reference intake). The American Academy of Dermatology says biotin supplements should only be taken if you are deficient, which is rare.
  4. Vitamin C 80 mg, vitamin A 800 mcg, riboflavin, niacin, zinc 10 mg, copper 1 mg, all at 100% of the reference intake. Vitamin C supports normal collagen formation; the others are a general nutrient top-up.

Marine or bovine? The label says only "collagen hydrolysate, Verisol" and does not state the source. GELITA says its effective dose is 2.5 g a day, or 5 g for fish-sourced versions. If this product used fish collagen, the dose would be half of that.

What Collagen Select does not tell you

No amounts published

Collagen Select names its ingredients but publishes no amount for any of them, so there is nothing here to check against the research.

Amounts are taken from the manufacturer’s own supplement facts panel. Where a label states a standardisation, the active fraction is what we compare, because the active is what the trials measured.

Dosage Analysis

Our Dose Check compares the label with the best human study.

  • Verisol collagen: 2,500 mg vs 2.5 g a day in the 8-week wrinkle trial. Matches the studied dose, assuming the non-fish grade.
  • DracoBelle Nu: 200 mg. No human skin trial to compare with.
  • Biotin: 500 mcg. No skin benefit shown outside deficiency.
  • Vitamin C: 80 mg, a normal daily amount.

The directions are one scoop (5 g) in 200 ml of water, once a day. A 150 g tub is 30 servings, one month. Trials showed results after 8 to 12 weeks, so judging it takes at least two to three tubs.

Quality & Testing

Our Transparency Score checks five things a buyer can verify. Collagen Select scores 2 out of 5.

  • Label with doses: yes, but not where you buy. The full label is on the NuviaLab store; the Swiss page our link leads to shows none.
  • Identifiable company: no. The Swiss and German sites name Key Player Limited, Dubai Airport Freezone; the English terms contain an unfilled "{%SHOP_NAME%}" placeholder instead of a company name.
  • Refund terms in writing: yes. 10 calendar days from purchase, unused goods only.
  • Independent testing shown: no. "Its composition was examined in the laboratory", with no laboratory named.
  • Study on the finished product: no. The figures on the page come from the Verisol ingredient study.

Correction. An earlier version of this review described capsules made from fish collagen, compared it with NMN, CoQ10 and resveratrol, and listed a 90-day guarantee and a $46 price. None of this matches the product, and we have corrected it.

Value for Money

Prices when we checked in September 2026:

  • Swiss site (where our link leads): CHF 59.99 for 1 tub, CHF 119.98 for 3, CHF 179.97 for 6.
  • German site: €59.99, €119.98, €179.97.
  • US site and NuviaLab: $62.99 for 1 tub.

That is about CHF 1.00 to 2.00 a day. You are mainly paying for 2.5 g of Verisol plus a vitamin mix, and it is worth comparing with plain Verisol collagen products before buying.

The return rule. The page advertises "reliable satisfaction or your money back". The terms allow withdrawal only "within 10 calendar days from the date of purchase", in writing, for goods with no signs of use, and state that EU law does not apply. An opened tub of powder is not returnable under those terms.

Side Effects & Safety

  • Biotin and lab tests: the FDA warns that biotin can significantly interfere with some lab tests, including falsely low troponin results used to diagnose heart attacks. Tell your doctor you take it before any blood test.
  • Allergy: the collagen source is not stated.

The page describes Collagen Select as "absolutely safe". The label excludes children and pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Final Verdict

Our Verdict

3.5/5

Collagen Select does one thing right: it contains Verisol at the dose that reduced wrinkles in a controlled trial. Around that, the marketing borrows the ingredient's study figures as if they were the product's, promises overnight results, adds a very high biotin dose, and replaces the advertised money-back guarantee with a 10-day, unopened-only return. It is a reasonable way to try collagen peptides if you accept those terms; a plain Verisol product may cost less.
